Following Royal Assent, and the publication of the Land and Buildings Transaction Tax (Amendment) (Scotland) Act 2016 , the Additional Dwelling Supplement is now in effect for certain property transactions in Scotland.The Tax Calculator has been updated to provide for ADS calculations,Legislative Guidance has been published and the ‘How To’ Guidance has been updated to provide instructions for those completing an LBTT return where the ADS applies. There remains an option to submit a paper return. From Friday 1 April, where a paper return is being made, it is essential that the new version of the paper return is used.We are grateful for the input from stakeholders who took the time to review and provide feedback on our guidance, and those who took part in user testing of the online form in advance of it being deployed.
